Ingredients

3 Squid, cleaned
Salt and pepper
100g Microgreen Convolvulus Kangkung
100ml oil
1 Garlic, peeled and chopped

Sauce:
1 tablespoon Sesame oil
3 tablespoon light soya sauce
1 teaspoon dark soya sauce
1 tablespoon sugar

Methods

  1. Clean and slice the squid into smaller pieces, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the Squid in the hot steamer, cover with a lid and steam for 4-5 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  3. Open the lid and place the microgreens in the hot steamer, on top of the squid, let it sit for 30 second – 1 minute. Skip this step if you prefer to serve the microgreens raw.
  4. In a pan, heat up oil and fry chopped garlic over medium heat until it’s lightly golden. Stir-fry the garlic in high heat for another minute or two until its completely golden. Set aside.
  5. In a pan, heat up sesame oil and stir in the mixture of the sauce for approximately 1 minute. Pour the hot sauce on top of the steamed squid and serve it with fried garlic.
